About Fay & Rob

We make our jewellery from a small shed in our back garden on the tiny island of St. Martin's, Isles of Scilly.
Last summer we enlisted more help from two work placement students Jenny & Clarice both hardy enough to camp on St. Martin's fanastic campsite for a six weeks despite more than our fair share of rain last summer.
Fay setup the business about eight years ago and it now includes husband Rob and our trusty workshop assistant, Carolyn.

Our island home is definitely reflected in the work we do - our original range of solid silver shells have now been joined by a fish range, a flower range and an island range - tiny little maps of each of Scilly's five main islands...
We hope to have these ready and on the site or in the shops for early April.

Hand Made Chains
We make all our own wrist chains and most of our neck chains (apart from the fine chains the charms and clusters hang on).
Chain making is a surprisingly tough and extremely monotonous task - each link has to be formed, sawn, soldered, pickled (put in acid to clean it), sawn again (hence our savaged finger ends!) hammered (where applicable) re-soldered, pickled, filed and polished. A 72cm handmade neck chain has 190 solders in it!
